Hamilton Heights’ boys team lost its season-opener on Wednesday night, falling to Lebanon 52-43 at the Husky Dome.
The Tigers led 12-11 after the first quarter and 22-17 at halftime. The Huskies stayed close during the second half, but Lebanon outscored Heights 17-13 in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
“We didn’t shoot the ball very well tonight,” said Huskies coach Chad Ballenger. The coach believed that if his team would have knocked down a few more shots, it could’ve won – “we just never go to that point,” said Ballenger.
Senior Max Beale led Heights with 13 points. Senior Michael Cross and junior AJ Field both added eight points, while senior Caleb Bean grabbed eight rebounds. Sophomore Hudson Hochstedler dished out five assists.

The Huskies are back in action Saturday night, hosting Mount Vernon at 7:30 p.m.
