Betty Jean Spore, 83, Fishers, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on August 8, 1934 to Eugene and Mildred (Kahl) McCabe in Terre Haute. Betty had worked for Peter Rabbit Daycare in Carmel, but most recently was a greeter at Walmart in Fishers.
She is survived by her daughter, Mitzi (Elvin) Lackey; two grandchildren, Christine (Kevin) Stewart and Seth (Veronica) Lackey; and three great-granddaughters, Christina Slade and Katrin and Kenzi Stewart.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cheryl Ann Spore.
A Celebration of Life service will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Randall & Roberts Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, Fishers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Paralyzed Veterans of America, 801 Eighteenth St. NW, Washington, D.C. 20006-3517.
