Members and friends of the Sheridan Historical Society recently gathered at the Roberts Chapel in northern Hamilton County for a history lesson. The Chapel is part of the historic Roberts Settlement, a community founded by freed Black Americans in the early 1830s. A few descendants of the original settlers still reside in the area.
