Carmel golfer Clay Stirsman tied for second in the Boys Division of the Hoosier Junior Championship, which took place earlier this month at Otter Creek Golf Club in Columbus.
Stirsman, a sophomore for the Greyhounds, carded an even par 144 at the two-day event, shooting back-to-back pars on both days. His fellow Carmel golfer, senior Nick Frey, tied for seventh.
In the girls division, Yanah Ralston of Fortville placed third with a score of 157, while Carmel’s Angelica Pfefferkorn, a Guerin Catholic senior, tied for 10th.
