Raines
The luncheon will feature a discussion with Mel Raines, who has more than 25 years of strategic communications, political and government affairs, community engagement, and operations experience. With a strong operational background, she also has federal government experience at the highest levels of Capitol Hill and the White House.
Raines was the first female Executive Vice President in the history of the NBA franchise and now serves as President and Chief Operations Officer for Pacers Sports & Entertainment, leading Corporate Communications, Community Engagement, and Facility Operations functions in addition to serving as the President of the 2021 NBA All-Star Local Organizing Committee. She is on the executive leadership team and oversees a full-time team of more than 50 professionals in addition to several hundred part-time event employees to execute over 555 events and meetings with more than 1.7 million guests each year.
