An event this weekend in Westfield will give pet owners a chance to help the Humane Society for Hamilton County.
The first annual Barktoberfest will occur this Saturday and organizers hope dog-lovers from the area will come together for fun with their furry friends for a good cause.
“What we’ve molded it into is a fall festival geared towards animal lovers,” said Kelley Wells, community event manager for the city of Westfield.
The event will feature a pet costume contest, canine cabana, agility arena, live music, food and beverage vendors and a K-9 demonstration from the Westfield Police Dept.
The event costs $5 for attendees 10 and up and runs from 3 to 7 p.m. at the north entrance of Asa Bales Park, 205 W. Hoover St.
