The Cicero Kiwanis Club is hosting its annual Angel Tree Roadblock at the corner of Jackson Street and State Road 19 and at Main and Brinton streets in Cicero from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4.
Members of the Cicero Kiwanis Club and Hamilton Heights High School Key Club will be at those locations to accept donations. All money collected is distributed to Hamilton Heights Schools to purchase clothing and a toy for children of local families who are struggling.
“We encourage you to stop by the roadblock to share a couple of bucks or loose change to help us with our effort to help make the holidays a little brighter for children in need,” said Keith Ecker, President, Cicero Kiwanis, who is leading the club’s charge of changing the world one child and one community at a time.
For those unable to participate at the roadblock but would like to donate to this worthy cause, contact Keith Ecker at 317-420-5542.
