Dear Editor:
My wife Katrina and I attended the play Of Mice and Men by Main Street Productions on Saturday night and thoroughly enjoyed it.
We love the theatre and frequently attend plays, and we both agreed that this production is one of the best we have seen by a community theatre organization. The very talented cast, clearly supported by a strong production crew, deserved the standing ovation that it received.
After the play, I had an opportunity to talk with James Williams, who did a wonderful job directing this large cast. The performances evoked the strong emotions, including love and compassion, undoubtedly intended by John Steinbeck when he wrote this devastating and tragic human-interest story.
This play runs one more weekend and I highly recommend it. You will long remember the feelings aroused by this iconic story.
