Westfield’s heavy trash drop-off event this past weekend allowed residents to get rid of unwanted furniture, electronics and other large items. It also helped raise funds for Westfield’s Relay for Life efforts.
“We are very grateful to the residents who donated to our Relay for Life efforts while utilizing our heavy trash drop-off option,” Mayor Andy Cook said. “Westfield’s Relay efforts are always impressive and I know this money will be put to good use.”
Saturday’s event raised over $1,300. The funds will help to kick-start the 2018 Shamrockin’ for a Cure campaign.
