Indiana Audubon Society is holding a special beginning birding workshop in partnership with Hamilton County Parks at Cool Creek Park and Nature Center on Saturday, Nov. 18. The workshop begins at 9 a.m. and will be both inside and outside during the three-hour course. The workshop will be led by Indiana Audubon Executive Director Brad Bumgardner and takes place in the Nature Center auditorium.
The Indiana Birding: Crash Course is an introductory and interactive series being offered statewide to introduce nature enthusiasts to bird watching. The workshop will include a look at birding opportunities around the state, a look at the history of birding, important bird areas in Indiana, purchasing and using binoculars and an introduction to the common birds of Indiana.
Registration for the workshop is $15 with discounts available to Indiana Audubon Society members. Registration is in the events page at indianaaudubon.org/events.
