Royals boys split games at Fort Wayne

The Hamilton Southeastern boys basketball team split its games at Fort Wayne on Tuesday.
In their first game, the Royals sailed past Carroll 66-44. Southeastern outscored the Chargers in each of the four quarters, leading 21-14 after one period and 37-27 at halftime. Reph Stevenson had 10 points in the first half. The Royals added 18 points in the third for a 55-35 lead.
Stevenson finished with 19 points, with Caleb Smock scoring 12 and Sam Jacobs contributing 11 points.
Southeastern dropped its second game 69-45 at Homestead. The Spartans led 16-11 after one quarter and 32-20 at halftime.
Jacobs led the Royals with 21 points.
Southeastern is 3-5 and is off until Jan. 7 when it plays at Lawrence Central.
