Guerin Catholic kept it close at Tipton Thursday night before the Blue Devils pulled away in the fourth quarter and beat the Golden Eagles 55-39.
The game was tied at 12-12 after the first quarter. Guerin Catholic’s Kathryn Loso was outstanding in that period, scoring 10 points. Tipton inched ahead 27-24 at halftime and led 36-32 after three quarters; Katie Koger had five points in the third. The Blue Devils then poured in 19 points in the fourth quarter to get the win.
Loso finished the game with 16 points, while Mia Thompson scored nine points.
The Golden Eagles are 7-6 and host Greenwood this afternoon.
