University boys drop road game to Brebeuf

The University boys went on the road Friday night and lost a 78-49 contest to Class 3A No. 4 Brebeuf Jesuit.
University fell behind 11-0 in the first two minutes of the contest before settling in to the game. The Braves led 22-12 after the first quarter.
The Blazers looked to climb back in the game early in the second quarter when three pointers from Robert Russell and Andre Ozlowski pulled University within 24-18. Brebeuf went on an 8-2 run in response and led by double digits the rest of the way.
University had no answer for Brebeuf’s 6-7 senior Billy Smith. The Miami University recruit finished with 29 points, including 20 in the first half.
Nate Jeffrey led the Trailblazers with 16 points, while Ozlowski finished with 15.
The win improved Brebeuf’s record to 5-1 while University fell to 4-2.
University plays tonight at Traders Point Christian Academy.
