‘Rocks beat Avon, win streak now seven

Westfield ran its win streak to seven consecutive games Tuesday night by cruising past Avon 64-38 in an away Hoosier Crossroads Conference contest.
The Shamrocks took care of business early, leading 25-6 after the first quarter. Westfield then held a 41-17 halftime advantage.
Three Shamrocks players reached double figures. Alyssa Crockett scored 24 points, including three 3-pointers, and also had six rebounds, six steals and five assists. Olivia Robey added 12 points, making two 3s, and handed out four assists. Ellie Kelleher contributed 10 points.
Westfield is 2-1 in conference play and 10-2 overall. The Shamrocks return home to CSI Gymnasium Saturday afternoon, when they will play Class 4A No. 3 Noblesville in another conference game.
