We the People is a curriculum-based national program to help students better understand the philosophies, application, interpretation, and evolution of the U.S. Constitution and enhance civic education in schools across the nation.

After studying the We the People curriculum, participating classes research and prepare for competition. Students prepare statements covering six units of study, present those to a panel of judges in a Congressional hearing format, and then answer questions related to the topic. Classes are then scored by a panel of three judges.
