Blackhawks roll past Jets for first win

Sheridan rolled to its first victory of the season Saturday, beating Anderson Prep Academy 82-46 at Larry Hobbs Hall.
The Blackhawks got off to a strong start, leading 23-9 after the first quarter. Sheridan would outscore the Jets in each period, leading 42-19 at halftime. Ethan Moistner scored 10 points for the ‘Hawks during the first half, with Carson Huffman and Tyler Garner both adding eight points. Sheridan poured in 21 points during the third quarter, then pulled away from Anderson Prep in the fourth, outscoring the Jets 19-8.
Four players reached double figures in securing the first victory for Chip Flemmer as Sheridan coach. Moistner threw in four 3-pointers on his way to 23 points. Caleb Wright and Garner each had 12 points, and Huffman scored 10.
The Blackhawks are 1-2 and host Faith Christian on Tuesday.
