Golden Eagles pull away from Lapel

Guerin Catholic slowly pulled away from Lapel on Tuesday, eventually scoring a 49-41 win over the Bulldogs at the Eagles Nest.
The Golden Eagles led 9-7 after the first quarter, then pulled ahead 23-17 by halftime. Kathryn Loso scored nine points during the first half, while Katie Koger had seven points in the second period, including a 3-pointer, totaling eight for the half.
Guerin Catholic extended its lead to 35-26 by the end of the third quarter, then kept its lead around that margin during the fourth.
Loso finished the game with 17 points, with Koger scoring 12. Natalie Fernandez added nine points.
The Golden Eagles are 4-2 and play at McCutcheon Saturday afternoon.
