February 8, 1946 – November 5, 2021
Shirley D (Lytle) Engelbretson, 75, passed away peacefully at home on November 5, 2021 in Noblesville. She was born to the late Alene Erma Lambert Lytle and Robert Lytle, and her biological father, Thomas James Lambert.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Gerald (Jerry) Engelbretson; her daughters, Tamara Ann Olson (Bob) and Taya Taylor Millikan (Michael); her son, Robert Tyson Taylor; grandchildren, Tomie Onie Weber (Billy), Robert William Lahmann (Mellisa), Tevin Taylor (deceased), Christopher Taylor (deceased), Logan Taylor, and Mikey and Matthew Millikan; great-grandchildren, Hanna and E.J. Lahmann, and Joshua and Savanah Weber; brother, Dereal Lytle (Joni); and nephew, Steven Lytle.
Shirley attended Marion High School, went to Boulder University and received a B.S. in business, and also attended Glamor Girl Beauty College in Marion, Ind. She opened her own beauty salon by the name of Westwood Beauty Shop. Several years later, she moved to Indianapolis where she lived for eight years. She was ready for a change and moved north to the small town of Cicero on Morse Lake for 32 years. She so loved the water at home or on vacation. She and Jerry moved to the south end of the lake four years ago where she was still close to the water.
We will miss our funny, spunky, sassy, spry, beautiful Momma. Rest in peace!
A Celebration of Life honoring Shirley D Engelbretson will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the Bridgewater Country Club, 3535 E. 161st St., Carmel.
