Fishers Arts Council presents works from Watercolor Society of Indiana

The Fishers Arts Council (FAC) opened its November exhibit Thursday with a collection of watercolors by members of the Watercolor Society of Indiana (WSI) at the Art Gallery at City Hall, Fishers. The exhibit is open Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

A reception will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 12, free and open to the public, featuring live music by Nick Ivanovich, refreshments, and a cash bar. A special performance by the Fishers Community Chorus will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall auditorium. All are welcome.

There will be approximately 40 watercolors on display during the exhibit, which is up through Friday, Nov. 26. On Saturday, Nov. 27, FAC will hold special gallery hours from 1 to 6 p.m. for the free Shop Fishers event, which includes art classes, artist vendors and demonstrations, along with one last chance to see this incredible WSI exhibit.

The WSI became a 501(c)(3) organization in 1983. The organization seeks to educate Indiana residents about the discipline of the watercolor medium through exhibits, juried competitions, classes, discussions, demonstrations, outreach programs, and community service.
