Indiana Council on World Affairs offering two events focusing on stories of Afghan refugees

The Indiana Council on World Affairs will present two timely programs featuring young Afghan refugees now residing in the U.S., Canada, and Ukraine. They will share their first-hand accounts of life in Afghanistan, their harrowing escapes, and reflections on the future of their country.

A free webinar at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28 will feature a panel of young Afghan professionals who have recently fled their country. They were all educated in American universities in either Afghanistan or Kyrgyzstan and were part of the Afghan renaissance helping their country move forward. They will discuss how they managed to escape the Taliban, their perspectives on the current state of their country and their hopes for the future. Click here to register for this free webinar.

A Special Networking hybrid program at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 4 will feature a new panel of young Afghan professionals discussing their past lives; their current situation in the U.S., Canada and Europe; their family members still in Afghanistan; and their view of the future of their country.
