The IHSAA announced pairings for the boys tennis sectional tournament on Monday.
Play begins today at two sites in Hamilton County: Carmel and Fishers. The Greyhounds, ranked No. 1 and five-time defending state champions, will open play at the Todd Witsken Tennis Center by taking on No. 26 Westfield in one semi-final.
The other semi-final features No. 19 Guerin Catholic and University. Play begins at 5:15 p.m., with the winners advancing to Thursday’s sectional championship.
Over at the Tigers’ courts, No. 8 Fishers will host No. 3 Hamilton Southeastern in a Mudsock re-match in one semi-final. The other semi-final will see No. 30 Noblesville taking on Hamilton Heights. Action begins at 4:30 p.m., with the winners playing for the championship on Thursday.

Carmel won its regular-season finale on Tuesday, beating No. 25-ranked Mississinewa 5-0 at the Todd Witsken Tennis Center.
The Greyhounds dropped only nine games across the five matches, including a 6-0, 6-0 win for the No. 1 doubles team of Srisanth Malpeddi and Jack Jentz.
Carmel finished its season with a dual meet record of 16-0; coach Bryan Hanan said it’s “been a pretty good year.” The coach said that his team has played every team ranked in the top 10.
“Our schedule doesn’t let up,” said Hanan. “We might have had one team that was unranked this year, but they started the year ranked.”
