Kristin Michelle (Callahan) Mally

July 8, 1977 – September 17, 2021

Kristin Michelle (Callahan) Mally, 44, Westfield, passed away on September 17, 2021. She was born on July 8, 1977 in Indianapolis to the late Charles “Steve” Callahan and Janice (Hershey) Bailey.

Kris was a 1995 graduate of Westfield Washington High School. Her love of books led her to her first full time job after high school at the Westfield Public Library. After leaving WPL in 1998, Kris began her career at Erie Insurance Company. This was a workplace perfect for her – she not only excelled at every task she was given but collected several great friends along the way.

Kris was most proud of 21 years of marriage to Tim Mally and the best children a mother could ever hope for. She was blessed with Will in 2004, and not so shortly after, Sabrina in 2015. She also was very involved in raising her wonderful stepson, Zach.

In addition to her husband and children, Kris is survived by her mother, Janice Bailey, and stepfather, Chuck Bailey; siblings, Stephen (Wendy) Callahan, Rodney (Angie) Callahan and Amy Callahan; stepdaughter-in-law, Arielle; grandchildren, Duncan, Lochlan, Bronson and Frances; in-laws, James and Joan Mally; sister-in-law, Kristen Mally Dean; several treasured uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins; and more friends and co-workers than one can count. We wish we could list everyone!

Kris’s favorite place was home surrounded by family and friends; however, she was always up for a family gathering or random game night. She loved to read (especially to her children), pick out the perfect gift for a loved one, and was the go-to person for anyone who wanted to find a good book, movie, TV show, or place to eat. Kris was the friend who often would help find the answer to someone’s question.

Kris will be missed desperately by all who were privileged to know her.

Family and friends will gather from noon till 3 p.m. on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at Cornerstone Lutheran Church, 4850 E. Main St., Carmel, where the Celebration of Life service will begin at 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Kris be given to Habitat for Humanity, 17917 Hollow Brook Court, Noblesville, IN 46062. Envelopes will be available at the church.

A reception will follow from 4 to 7 p.m. at Birdies Grill House, 632 E. State Road 32, Westfield.
