Randy White, a mason employed by the Dan Haines Construction Company, is shown here working on the new entryway sign located near the Farmers Bank and Trust building on State Road 38 on the east side of Sheridan. Three years ago, multiple businesses, organizations and private individuals joined together with local and county government to rebuild the welcome sign on SR 38.
The effort to replace the sign was led by Gloria Del Greco, a Purdue Extension Specialist from the Noblesville office. Town officials said Sheridan residents will be pleased to know the two new signs should be completed shortly and allow for a much-needed Sheridan identity for the thousands of strangers who travel along the south edge of town each year.
