Carmel brings back Music on the Monon at the Gazebo

The City of Carmel is bringing back the popular Music on the Monon concerts for three consecutive Saturday night shows from 6 to 9 p.m. beginning this Saturday, July 24 at the Gazebo at Carmel City Hall. Last summer’s event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Over time, this mid-summer series had been held along the Monon Greenway at Main Street, the Carmel Clay Historical Society and Carter Green. This year, due to construction, it has been moved to the Gazebo.

The series kicks off with the Cohen-Rutkowski Mix, followed by Cathy Morris on July 31 and Blair Clark & the Classic Cats on Aug. 7. All concerts are free and open to the public.

This year we will be welcoming Carmel Brews & Barrels Trail vendors Bier Brewery North and Sugar Creek Winery, along with All Things Carmel as vendors providing beverages (but not food) during the events. Concert attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets, and bike racks will be provided for guests that prefer to pedal and park. Bike racks will not be monitored, so guests should plan to bring a lock to secure their bicycle.

Visitors are encouraged to try one of the many fine dining choices in Carmel for pre-concert meals, bring your own picnic or grab carry-out from one of the nearby restaurants at Carmel City Center, Monon Square, Midtown or the Proscenium.

For visitors arriving by car, parking is available at City Hall, City Center and Veterans Way parking garages and other public parking areas. On-street parking is available where signed; please comply with all posted parking regulations.
