Salvador Guerrero-Flores

October 1, 1987 – June 27, 2021

Salvador Guerrero-Flores, 33, Westfield, died on June 27, 2021. He was born on October 1, 1987 in Mexico City, son of Augusto Guerrero and Lourdes Flores-Hernandez de Guerrero.

Salvador was a graduate of Westfield High School where he excelled as an athlete. He played football, ran track and field in middle school. in high school, he did wrestling, and soccer was his favorite sport to participate in. He played along with his two cousins, Eduardo Contreras and Francisco Contreras, and his brother Ricardo Guerrero – they were known as the “Hispanic Mafia.” Salvador was employed with Andy Mohr Kia in sales. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a member of the Latinos Riders.

Salvador was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Diana Escobar; parents, Augusto and Lourdes Flores-Hernandez; brothers, Cesar Guerrero and Ricardo Guerrero; sister, Ana Karen Guerrero; nieces, Angelica Guerrero, Citlaly Guerrero, Leah Malinalli, Ava Johnson-Guerrero; and nephew, Iker Guerrero.

Family and friends will gather from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 2, 2021 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 14598 Oakridge Road, Carmel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 1 p.m. in the church.

A Committal Service will follow in Our Lady of Peace cemetery.

A portion of a recent conversation from Ricardo to Salvador: “The only person that was truly a part of me. We played everything together. Since I remember, Cesar took care of me, I cared for you, and you cared for Ana Karen. You are me and I am you. I secretly named CheBA after you because I wanted to be like you … when you lived here people would call us Cheba & Chava.”
