Hamilton County Democrats plan educational event about President Biden’s American Rescue Plan

The Hamilton County Democratic Party will hold an informational event to discuss President Joe Biden’s “American Rescue Plan” at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 24 at Asa Bales Park in Westfield. The event will include an overview of the plan and highlight how the administration aims to partner with each state’s officials to strategically filter funds where they are needed most.

Civic and community leaders will be on hand to discuss the economic stimulus package and how it will affect Hamilton County residents. Special guests include former candidate for U.S. House of Representatives Christina Hale, State Senators JD Ford and Fady Qaddoura, and Fishers City Councilor Jocelyn Vare. This event is part of a statewide tour led by the Indiana Democratic Party to educate citizens about the American Rescue Plan and how it will provide relief to Hoosiers.

“The American Rescue Plan offers much financial support to bolster our economy and educational infrastructure, and it is our duty to ensure that Hamilton County residents are made aware of the positive impact it will have in our communities,” said Dayna Colbert, Hamilton County Democratic Party Chair. “We are excited to host our first in-person event in more than a year, see our friends and family again, and share information about the plan to build back better.”

All Hamilton County residents are invited to attend this in-person event. Residents are encouraged to review and follow recommended CDC guidelines related to vaccinations and mask wearing.
