Randolph Gerard Lobdell

April 13, 1961 – June 14, 2021

Randolph Gerard Lobdell, known as Randy to family and friends, passed away on June 14, 2021 peacefully in his sleep in Arcadia. He was born in Indianapolis to Pierre and Mary Ann Lobdell.

Randy is survived by his oldest son, Samuel R Lobdell, 38, (Sherry); youngest child, Melissa D Lobdell, 34, (Shane Smith); his ex-wife and love of his life, Tammie J Reed; five grandchildren, Devin Gambrell, Amelia and Kylee Lobdell, and Serenity and Ariel Smith; four sisters, Toni Locke (Ted), Suzy Ehrgott (Ron), Chris Prange (Larry), and Tina Miller (John); and two brothers, Pierre and Nick Lobdell.

In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by his sister, Donnie Lodbell Stonebraker.

Randy was a man who loved his family and friends. A man who could make the stubbornness of people laugh and feel loved. He enjoyed the thrills of Jimmie Johnson racing and winning at the track. Randy loved the ups and downs of football games, especially the Colts. He could out fish the best of fisherman. But the thing that will be remembered the most about Randy is he was kindhearted and would give the shirt off his back to anyone if needed. He was loved by all who he came in contact with. He could make a poor person feel rich and a sad person rich in happiness, and he could make an angry person feel joy. There was nothing about Randy any person could forget. He was a loving father, brother, husband, son-in-law, uncle, and awesome best friend to have. He was the most hardworking, knowledgeable man you could hope to have on your side. When he was near, you always felt safe, loved and cared about. He would say things just to encourage you to do the right thing. Randy will be missed but not forgotten by all.

Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville, with Rev. Stanley R. Sutton officiating. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to the time of service at the funeral home.
