August 29, 1938 – June 9, 2021
We are deeply saddened to announce that Judith Ann (Hunt) Simpson passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 in the comfort of her home due to complications from Leukemia at the age of 82.
Judith was born August 29, 1938 in Indianapolis. She grew up in Broad Ripple and graduated from Broad Ripple High School in 1957. Four days after graduation Judith married the man of her dreams, William S. Simpson, and began their wonderful life together for almost 64 years until William passed in February 2021. They were blessed with two daughters, Ann Elizabeth Clymer and Lisa Marie Millikan, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Judith was a devout Catholic in faith. She even had a Catholic Casserole recipe she made for the neighbors, as they call it. Judith had many talents and passions in life. She loved cooking and baking, and she was an extremely accomplished seamstress. She was fond of caring for those in need. Judith had been a volunteer at the Community North Cancer Center.
For those who knew her, they know her kindness will live in our hearts, as well as those she reached out to but never met. Judith is already greatly missed by her family, so many friends, and Buddy Noodle, her loving cat.
Judith will be laid to rest next to her husband, William, in the Abbey Mausoleum at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 14, 2021. Arrangements are being handled by Randall & Roberts Funeral Homes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 50 E. 91st St., Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240; or Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Indiana Chapter, 11550 N. Meridian St., Carmel, IN 46032.
