Robert “Bob” Leonard Leonard

September 4, 1943 – June 1, 2021

Robert “Bob” Leonard Leonard, 77, Noblesville, and formerly of Batavia, Ill., went home to be with Christ his Father on Tuesday, June 1, 2021. He was born on September 4, 1943 to Leonard and Vivian (Luikaart) Leonard in Chicago, Ill.

He was a dear brother of Ken (Barb), Les (Jill) and Tom (Jenny) Leonard and the late Barb (Jack) Kaufman. Bob is survived by his high-school sweetheart and beloved wife, Judy (Rosencrans) Leonard. Together they had four children, Tracey (Ron) Vega, Rob (Michelle) Leonard, Carrie Leonard, and Amy (DJ) Knotts. He was proud grandfather to eight grandchildren, Hannah, Allison, and Kate Yaconis; Tyler, Ryan, and Sam Knotts; Dustin (Janae) Mobley and Sydni Cooper, and was recently a great-grandfather of one, Taytem Mobley.

Bob served as an elder for many years at Sanctuary Assembly of God Church, Batavia, Ill., where he worked for the North Aurora food pantry and coordinated local bread donations. He truly enjoyed his time fishing, working with his model railroad train club, and rooting on the Green Bay Packers. He retired after 30 years as an Inspector for the Kane County Government, where he became good friends and supporter of the environmental activities of the late Jim Phillips, “The Fox.”

He was always known for his booming voice, larger-than-life presence and passion for the message of salvation: “Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the Lord God is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation.” Isaiah 12:2.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2021 at Randall & Roberts Fishers Mortuary, 12010 Allisonville Road, Fishers.
