The Noblesville girls tennis team won its first dual meet of the year on Wednesday, beating Lawrence North 4-1 at the Millers’ courts at Noblesville East Middle School.
The Millers swept both doubles matches in straight sets, with No. 1 Kaylee David and Katelyn Decker winning 6-4, 6-3 and No. 2 Sierra Leach and Lina Hamashuk getting a 6-0, 6-2 victory. In singles, No. 2 Allie Stamm won a third-set super tiebreak to clinch her match, 5-7, 6-4, 10-2. No. 3 Josie Flinchum won 6-4, 6-3.
Noblesville opened its season Tuesday by dropping a 4-1 Hoosier Crossroads Conference meet to Fishers. David and Decker won the No. 1 doubles match 6-3, 6-4.
The Millers are 1-1 and host Zionsville today in another HCC contest.
