Williams’ free throws send Tigers past LC

Fishers won an exciting regular-season finale on Wednesday, edging out Lawrence Central 51-49 at the Tiger Den.
The Tigers led 13-12 after the first quarter, with Jeffrey Simmons scoring nine points in that period. The Bears came back to tie the game at 29-29 by halftime, and the contest was still knotted up after three quarters, at 40-40. Fishers outscored LC 11-9 in the fourth, with Bryce Williams making two foul shots during the final minute of the game to clinch the victory for the Tigers.
Simmons scored 18 points, while Smith added 12 points. Fishers was a perfect 7-of-7 from the free-throw line as a team. Greg Jenkins scored 18 points to lead the Bears.
The Tigers finished the regular season 14-6 and will play Hamilton Southeastern Tuesday in the first round of Sectional 8 at Carmel.
