Golden Eagles clinch second in Circle City Conference

Guerin Catholic clinched a second-place finish in the Circle City Conference by cruising past Bishop Chatard 77-52 Saturday afternoon at the Eagles Nest.
The Golden Eagles took care of business early, leading 24-10 after the first quarter. Guerin Catholic then led 43-19 at halftime and 57-29 after three periods.
Four GC players reached double figures. Joseph Bobilya had another incredible shooting night, making six 3-pointers on his way to 23 points. Will Grissom nailed four 3s, finishing with 16 points. Kaleb Edwards and Matthew Gillis both added 11 points.
Edwards had a solid all-around game with seven rebounds and six assists. Grissom and Gillis both collected eight rebounds, while Bobilya handed out four assists.
The Golden Eagles finished conference play 4-1 and are 17-3 overall. Guerin Catholic finishes its regular season on Tuesday by hosting Anderson.
