Golden Eagles win conference game

Guerin Catholic won a Circle City Conference game at Roncalli on Friday, by the score of 56-50.
The Royals led 12-9 after the first quarter, but the Golden Eagles blasted through the second period to take a 28-20 lead by halftime. Guerin Catholic then led 37-27 after three quarters, then held off Roncalli in a high-scoring fourth quarter.
Joseph Bobilya poured in 26 points, including four 3-pointers. Kaleb Edwards and Will Grissom both added 11 points, with Grissom also collecting six rebounds.
The Golden Eagles are 3-1 in conference play and 16-3 overall. Guerin Catholic returns to the Eagles Nest this afternoon to host Bishop Chatard in its final conference game of the season.
