Fall in love this Saturday at Meet Me on Main in Carmel

What’s not to love in the Carmel Arts & Design District? Mosaics in the breezeways, sculptures on the sidewalks and mixed media art by local artists seen in display windows in the 10 galleries on Main Street.

Take a chance on love this weekend as the City of Carmel presents Meet Me on Main from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, an event that will feature “to go” art projects, gift card giveaways and special offerings at many District stores. The wearing of masks and proper physical distancing is encouraged inside shops and along crowded sidewalks.

Feeling hungry? Main Street’s culinary offerings include everything from tasty burgers at Bub’s to savory Thai dishes at Pad Thai and coastal cuisine at Juniper on Main. For date night, try Anthony’s Chophouse or Donatello’s, and to satisfy a sweet tooth, the Chocolate Café has plenty of sweet treats.

Don’t forget to bring the kids to Indiana Artisan (22 N. Range Line Road) for the complimentary Pom Pom Monster craft. This fun “to go” art craft will be available from 5 to 8:30 p.m. (while supplies last).

The Meet Me on Main monthly giveaway will be hosted on the Carmel Arts & Design District’s Facebook page. Each month, three $100 gift cards to businesses in the Arts & Design District are given away. Please visit the Arts & Design Facebook page for more information. There is no purchase necessary to participate.

If you’re not quite ready to venture out to an event, please check the Carmel Arts & Design District’s Facebook page for virtual interviews featuring with Deb Slack from Art on Main, Matt Frey with Bub’s Burgers and Marissa Hendrickson with Bask on Main. Interviews will be streamed at 5 p.m. on the Carmel Arts & Design District’s Facebook page.
