Fishers continued its busy stretch of activity by splitting two games to open the week.
On Monday, the Tigers fell to Brownsburg 63-48 in an away Hoosier Crossroads Conference game. The Bulldogs led 10-9 after the first quarter, then pulled further ahead in the middle periods, leading 30-21 at halftime and 49-31 after three quarters.
Jeffrey Simmons scored 17 points for Fishers, while Myles Stringer made three 3-pointers for nine points. Charlie Smith also had nine points.
The Tigers rebounded on Tuesday with a 72-47 win over Anderson at the Tiger Den. The Indians led 19-14 after the first period, but Fishers came back in the second, holding Anderson to seven points. That enabled the Tigers to jump ahead 29-26 by halftime. Simmons scored 16 points in the first half, 12 in the opening quarter alone.
Fishers led 48-44 after three periods, with Bryce Williams scoring seven in the third. The Tigers pulled away in the fourth, pouring in 24 points. Williams added another seven points, with Simmons and Lucas Prewitt both scoring six.
Simmons finished with 28 points, while Williams contributed 14 points, including two 3s. John Entezari had two 3s as well.
Fishers is 3-2 in HCC play and 10-5 overall. The Tigers play another conference game on Thursday, hosting Avon.
