The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office has recently received complaints about possible fraudulent telephone calls to county residents. The scammers are targeting the elderly population and claiming to be family members in need of money.
If you have received a call like this, or you are unsure if the call is valid, please call the Sherriff’s Department non-emergency number at (317) 773-1872.
Remember to never give out any personal information over the phone if you are unsure of the source or feel that the call may not be valid.
