UHS boys cross country runs solid in first home meet

The University boys cross country team had a stellar performance at their first home meet of the season, defeating Clinton Central and Tri-West in a three-team meet Tuesday.
The Trailblazers scored 33 points, edging the Bulldogs’ 35 points. The Bruins scored 62.
Sophomore Noah Laramore took first place with a time of 17:45. Freshman Keegan Priest finished fifth with a time of 20:03, with sophomore Jacob Sager placing sixth with a time of 20:05.
“The full varsity lineup — sophomore Cordell Wilson, senior Noah Thomas, junior Neil Pettinga, and junior Ben Westerkamm — banded together to win this one,” said UHS coach Ashley Crockett-Lohr.
