Andrew Michael Rheinheimer

March 4, 1986 – January 18, 2021

Andrew Michael Rheinheimer, 34, Sheridan, passed away on January 18, 2021. Andrew was born on March 4, 1986 to Kevin McCartney and Christine Rheinheimer in Indianapolis.

Andrew grew up around horses and spent every summer with his grandfather Stanley, which led him to start his own business, Rheinheimer Equine Services. There was not anything Andrew could not do with a horse; he was particularly good at starting horses and training them. He was a member of United States Equestrian Federation and United States Hunter/Jumper Association. Andrew was also starting a new venture and was starting to get into the mule business.

When Andrew was not working, he enjoyed writing in his journal, always sharing memories on Facebook, drawing, and he was always taking pictures to save each moment to have as a memory.

Andrew’s family will always remember how funny he was, and they will all greatly miss him. Andrew is survived by his supportive and loving fiancée, Jacqueline “Jackie” Small; his loving mother, Christine Rheinheimer, Sheridan; and his father, Kevin McCartney. He was a devoted brother to Karl Rheinheimer-Whaley, Ashley (Jarod) Ammerman and Kelli Rheinheimer. He was a proud grandson to Mary Wehmeier and Valerie Rheinheimer. He was a loving uncle to Kinley Hoskins, and Hannah and Samuel Ammerman. Andrew is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Allen (Cathy) Rheinheimer, Stan (Hillary) Rheinheimer, Dean Rheinheimer, Amanda Lylery, Vickie Barrick, Pam McCartney, and Bill McCartney.

Andrew is preceded in death by his grandfather, Stanley; his step-grandfather, Sam; his aunt and uncle, Terry and Jeff Zuber; and his uncles, Michael and Eric Rheinheimer.

Andrew’s services will be private. Donations may be made to both the Samaritan Colony at Andrew Chew Ellis’ Facebook page, more specifically the “Andrew Rheinheimer Rehab grant fund,” and The Indiana Horse Rescue.

Andrew’s family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Everyone is invited to sign the online guestbook, leave a condolence or share a memory at fisherfunerals.com.
