Carmel boys stay perfect in MIC

The Carmel boys basketball team kept its record perfect in Metropolitan Conference play Friday, winning at Pike 73-55.
The Class 4A No. 4 Greyhounds were in front from the beginning, leading 11-5 after the first quarter and 32-19 at halftime. Carmel poured in another 26 points in the third period; eight different players scored for the ‘Hounds in the game.
Brian Waddell had a solid game, scoring 19 points and pulling nine rebounds. Peter Suder had 13 points and seven rebounds, while Connor Gioia added 10 points. Sam Orme hit three 3-pointers for nine points.
Carmel is 4-0 in MIC play and 12-1 overall. The Greyhounds return home tonight to host Brownsburg.
