Westfield ran into a hot-shooting Plainfield team on Saturday, and despite a fourth-quarter comeback, the Shamrocks fell to the host Quakers 69-60.
Plainfield led 18-11 after the first quarter and 33-23 at halftime; the Quakers were hitting over 60 percent of their shots. Westfield turned up its offense in the fourth quarter, scoring 29 points, but the Quakers held on for the win.
Benji Welch gave an outstanding effort, scoring 24 points, including four 3-pointers. Braden Smith scored 18 points and handed out eight assists. Matthew Penley had nine points, five rebounds and four steals.
Westfield is 9-2 and hosts Brownsburg Friday in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game.
