The Hamilton Heights girls basketball team kept its record perfect on Tuesday, beating Western 61-35 on the road in a Hoosier Conference East Divison game.
The Class 3A No. 10 Huskies led 15-10 after the first quarter. Jillian Osswald had seven of those points, including a 3-pointer. “Great win on the road,” said Huskies coach Keegan Cherry.”MyKayla and Jilian showed their leadership tonight versus a team that was really physical. And I think maybe we learned our lesson versus Westfield in terms of attacking the basket versus heavy pressure in late-game situations. Western continued to be really aggressive defensively late and our girls did a better job of attacking to score versus being tentative and trying to just hang on.”
Heights is 3-0 in the East Division and 13-0 overall. The Huskies finish division play Saturday at Tipton.
