The Westfield girls basketball team ran its win streak to five games on Wednesday by cruising past Yorktown 69-32.
The Shamrocks were in control from the beginning, leading 25-4 after the first quarter. Westfield outscored the Tigers in each period, holding a 39-13 advantage at halftime and going up 58-28 after three quarters.
Alyssa Crockett led the ‘Rocks with 23 points on 10-of-13 shooting, including three 3-pointers. Chesney Tebbe added 12 points. Crockett collected seven rebounds and Tebbe pulled six. Olivia Robey handed out five assists.
Westfield is 8-3 for the season. The Shamrocks will next play at the Paul Loggan Memorial Invitational at North Central next week. Westfield takes on Springboro (Ohio) on Tuesday and Silver Creek, the No. 1-ranked team in Class 3A, on Wednesday.
