The Fishers Arts Council (FAC) will offer an interactive virtual Shop Fishers Small Business Saturday experience from 1 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28.
The purpose of this event is to provide artistic demonstrations by local artists and artisans to the public. This gives the participants a chance to learn about a variety of different art forms and ask the artists questions live, during their processes.
Live interactive art classes will also be offered, but please note that signups are now closed. Besides the demonstrations and interactive create-your-own art, the participating artists and artisans will have their art for sale. This is a great way to support local artists and shop for unique holiday gifts.
By showcasing the talent of Fishers and local artists while they demonstrate and perform their skills, FAC hopes this inspires community members to create their own art and experiment in various mediums.
To participate in this event, go to bit.ly/fishersevents which will connect you with signup links for online classes, zoom links for each hour’s artist demonstrations, artist demonstration explanations, and external links to their online stores and social media. These links will be active through the end of the year, but the chance to interact with this group of artists is only on Nov. 28.
This event is offered, in part, by a grant FAC received from the Indiana Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. This will be the third year for these events, and while people cannot attend in-person this year, FAC hopes you’ll join for this new virtual experience.
