Although Fishers fire departments are closed to the public unless for an emergency, firefighters recently opened the doors to the city’s new fire headquarters for a virtual community tour.
Fishers Fire Department Public Information Officer John Mehling said, “The pandemic is a struggle for everyone, and firefighters are constantly trying to be innovative in keeping their connection to our community. While we wish the tour had a cookout and kids in the trucks, we hope this is the next best thing.”
