Beatrice Colgan, 95, Westfield, passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Maple Park Village in Westfield. She was born on September 9, 1925 to Harry and Nellie (Bailey) White in New Windsor, Ill.
“Sweet Bea” worked as a beautician for 10 years and was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church. She was a very giving and kind lady whom everyone loved. Bea had a terrific sense of humor and a great smile. She enjoyed baking and decorating cookies. Bea was a wonderful mother and grandmother who adored her grandchildren.
She is survived by six children, Pamela (William) Beard, Michael (Bobbie) Colgan, Steven (Barb) Colgan, Betsy (Randy) VanCamp, David (Tara) Colgan and Patricia (Jay) Thurman; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Bea was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Mark Colgan; siblings, Nellie Ann Cox, Robert White, Patricia Cox and Betty White; and grandson, David Scott Beard.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 17102 Spring Mill Road, Westfield, with visitation one hour prior at the church. Burial will be at Summit Lawn Cemetery in Westfield.
