Judith Elaine Young, 75, Carmel, passed away on November 9, 2020. She was born on November 21, 1944 in Clinton, Tenn., daughter of George and Edith Manning.
She attended Oklahoma Wesleyan University from 1966 to 1967. On September 2, 1967, Judith and Edward Young were married, and they had a loving and dedicated marriage for 53 years. Judith worked in a variety of industries but found tremendous fulfillment working with children at KinderCare children’s academy in Carmel.
In addition to her parents, Judith was preceded by three siblings, Kenneth, Lloyd and Lila.
She is survived by her husband, Edward; children, Lisa Mathiesen (Rich) and Greg Young (Amanda); three grandchildren, Cory, Kate and Lila; brother JP; sisters, Glenna, Marla, Erma, Lulan, Viki, Beverly; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Receiving of friends will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 19 at Trinity Wesleyan Church, 9709 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, where the Funeral Celebration of Life Service will begin at 1 p.m.
Due to the pandemic, facial coverings and social distancing protocols are required of all in attendance.
