Single tickets on sale now for Carmel Symphony Orchestra’s Nov. 14 concert

Performance will feature Young Artist Competition Winner, Cooper Olsen

As the country continues to move beyond uncertain times, the Carmel Symphony Orchestra (CSO) brings you a season of Hope Renewed. Single tickets are still on sale for the 2020-21 season, which includes the next concert at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14 at The Palladium in Carmel, part of The Center for The Performing Arts.

This November performance is the second in this season’s Masterworks series. It will feature Beethoven’s Symphony No. 1 in C Major, Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 3 in G Major and Rossini’s Barber of Seville Overture. This concert will feature CSO’s 2019 Young Artist Competition Winner, Cooper Olsen.

Olsen

CSO proudly sponsors the annual CSO Young Artists Competition, a unique and prestigious concerto competition allowing Indiana student musicians the opportunity to compete with their peers at the highest level of artistic excellence and have the amazing experience of performing in The Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts.

Olsen was a 14-year-old when he won as the CSO Young Artist. He is a freshman at Bloomington North High School in Bloomington, Ind. He won the Young Artist Competition with a performance of Saint-Saens’ Violin Concerto No. 3, 3rd movement and studies with Mimi Zweig, professor of music at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music.

As with the previous concert, CSO recognizes that not all symphony patrons are comfortable attending events in person. With that, CSO will again offer a livestreaming option for the November concert.

“Having the capability to live stream our concerts allows us to bring music to people who are unable to be in the hall with us,” said Artistic Director Janna Hymes. “With limited seating and some of our patrons’ concerns about being out in crowds, we believe this is the perfect solution to bring the beauty of music directly to everyone.”

Single tickets for the Hope Renewed Masterworks (Nov. 14) concerts are now on sale for both the livestream and in-person options. Single tickets are available for the Holiday Pops Concerts (Dec. 12) presented by IU Health.

To order tickets, you may contact the Center for Performing Arts Box Office at (317) 843-3800. Or, please visit the CSO website at CarmelSymphony.org.
