Meet Me on Main returns Saturday, Oct. 10, to the Carmel Arts & Design District, featuring live music, a professional pumpkin carver, children’s crafts, interactive experiences with Indiana Artisan, The Art Lab and many more activities from 5 to 9 p.m.
Join professional pumpkin carver Lee Saberson in the breezeway near SubZero Ice Cream from 5 to 8:30 p.m. for a pumpkin carving demonstration.
Follow along virtually on the Carmel Arts & Design District’s Facebook page where interviews include Kuaba Gallery, Evan Lurie Gallery, Lee Saberson and Donatello’s Italian Restaurant from 5 to 5:45 p.m.

Meet Me on Main monthly drawing: Three $100 gift cards, redeemable at businesses in the Arts & Design District, will be given away. Stop into any participating gallery or business to fill out an entry form. Only one form per person can be filled out at each location, but the more businesses visited, the better the chance of winning. There is no purchase necessary to participate.
Make and Take craft: The Art Lab invites you to create your own pumpkin cartoon character. Head over to the Sophia Square breezeway by Vitality Bowls to pick up your mini pumpkin and kit and create your own Frankenstein, spider or orange cartoon character. There is no cost for this craft and no registration is required. The make and take “to-go” art project will be available from 5 to 8:30 p.m., or until supplies last.
Musical entertainment: Music will be provided throughout the District featuring Kasey King, Dianna Davis and Sammi Lorena, who will be performing live from 5 to 9 p.m.

All Things Carmel: All Things Carmel will feature a special promotion of the Hotel Carmichael and Vivante, the new French restaurant at the hotel. Stop in for some delicious treats. (110 W. Main St., #140)
Carmel Art on Main Gallery: October features a front room show with Brad Fields and Stephanie Spray, local and talented watercolor and oil artists, respectively. The popular Bob’s Belgian Hot Chocolate, which has been served at the Carmel Christkindlmarkt is now exclusive provided at Carmel Art on Main Gallery in 2020. Also, stop by to shop new fun and funky purses, wallets and handbags by Scotty Jones Urthy Fiberart, pottery mugs and vases by Singing Bridge Pottery, jewelry, fine art and photography by the other local artists based at the gallery. CCA Gallery (111 W. Main St., #135):
- Katherine Fehn: Indiana artist Katherine Fehn, whose work has been juried into the Indiana State Fair, CCA Gallery and the Hamilton County Artist Association, has always loved art and creating things but has found her passion in painting abstract pieces. “I’m inspired by the sea and sky, by shapes and colors,” Fehn said. “As a recovering perfectionist, I love the idea of the imperfection found in manipulating colors by pushing paint around on a canvas.” To view Fehn’s artwork and learn more about her, visit her website here.
- Heidi Mandich: Heidi Mandich fell in love with metalsmithing in 2006 at the Indianapolis Art Center where she now teaches the techniques she learned. From pendants to earrings, Mandich’s delicate creations are made with the not so delicate tools, hammers and fire. Taking much of her inspiration from nature, Mandich’s pieces are done in silver with metals such as titanium and argentium and bright stones such as lapis and white topaz. As a two-time breast cancer survivor, Mandich donates 25 percent of the sale of hearts that she makes to fund cancer research through 100 Voices of Hope. Indiana Artisan (22 N. Range Line Road):
- Sylvia Gray: Surface design artist, Sylvia Gray, will be in the gallery to work one-on-one with customers to show them her simple yet artful silk scarves and various ways in which to tie them. Gray’s pieces are all handmade with vibrant and bright designs. “I let the fiber piece tell me what it wants to be and I work to create that,” Gray said. To view Gray’s designs, click here.
- Dave VanWye – Amazing Hazel’s: With the smiling hot pepper on the label, Amazing Hazel’s gourmet products are easily recognizable. Hoosier native, artisan food producer and grandson of the amazing Hazel, Dave WanWye, will be sharing tastes of the family’s zesty chili sauce and one-of-a-kind Bloody Mary mix. VanWye’s products can be purchased throughout Central Indiana or online here.
Kuaba Gallery: Kuaba Gallery invites you to visit their new space to view the diverse collection of paintings, stone sculptures and ceramic art.
