DAR patriotic commemoration set

Horseshoe Prairie Chapter, NSDAR (National Society Daughters of the American Revolution), will hold a plaque dedication and commemoration honoring Hamilton County’s only REAL Daughter of the Revolutionary War, Phoebe Davis Touhig (shown above), at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 10 at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville. A short ceremony will be conducted with the Chapter officers and participants. The public is invited to attend. Editor’s note: The above photograph was taken in 1923.
