One hour before this photograph was taken, Kelly Kelle had just signed on the dotted line and got her new set of keys, literally making her Hamilton County’s newest resident.

“I was born and grew up, raised my own children, and lived in the same city my entire life, and I thought I would never ever move,” Kelle said. “But here I am, happy to be Hamilton County’s newest resident.”

The main factor in Kelle’s relocation decision was the “man” that stole her heart, her new 12-week-old Beagle puppy with floppy ears, named Milo. Milo needs to go for walks and he loves being around people. Where Kelle used to live, there were no sidewalks available, no dog-friendly businesses and no dog parks or trails.

Kelle has many friends who live in downtown Carmel. She would visit them and bring Milo along, and they would spend time walking the Monon Trail, playing at the dog parks and enjoying the friendly people and businesses in Midtown Carmel.

“Milo loved it, I loved it, everything was beautiful and well maintained, we felt safe and welcomed, and it really felt like home to us, so here we are,” Kelle said.

Welcome to Carmel, Kelly and Milo, we are happy to have you!
